Steadfast Security – Frequently Asked Questions
[/et_pb_fullwidth_header_extended]How do I start building my DIY kit?
It’s simple! First begin by filling out a short questionnaire. Next, our automated system will suggest a kit made just for you. From there, you can customize your kit and select a hosting option. (Or, if you’re not sure yet, you can wait until you speak with one of our security professionals).
How much does a system cost?
The cost of your system will be based on the size of your home and the system and services you need. Typically, you’ll pay some of the cost upfront, then a monthly service fee. Many companies rent out equipment, but at Steadfast you’ll own yours. The upfront cost will include equipment pricing. Ultimately, owning the equipment will reduce your monthly cost.
You can upgrade your whole property with security, locks, lights, video cameras and thermostats in a single installation. We will factor them into the price and install everything at once.
You can also start small and add more features when you’re ready. When it’s time to enhance your system with something new, just let us know and we’ll arrange it.
What products does Steadfast Security use?
Steadfast Security is proud to partner with Alarm.com because of their A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau and long-standing commitment to protecting all that they serve.
Alarm.com is the award-winning smart home and business security platform that millions of customers depend on every day. Twenty years ago, Alarm.com reinvented the security system to protect you better from intruders. They’ve been reinventing it ever since, creating a service that protects home and business owners worldwide.
What happens if the internet goes out or someone destroys my system?
If someone tampers with or destroys your panel, a signal will be sent to your property’s monitoring station, thanks to our Crash and Smash Protection.
Unlike other systems that share a phone or cable line, our systems use a dedicated, secure cellular connection to provide reliable and uninterrupted service for your critical security messages. No cable line means there’s nothing for burglars to cut and compromise your system—plus, the system will communicate even if the power, internet or broadband is down.
When will I get alerts?
Our always-on technology keeps you notified of activity you care about whether your system is armed or not. You can get text or email notifications when someone opens a door or window, disarms the system or even adjusts the thermostat. You can choose to get as many—or as few—alerts as you’d like.
I already have a security system. Can I upgrade it with your technology?
Many existing security systems can be upgraded with our Alarm.com products.
Alarm.com is compatible with equipment made by DSC, GE Security, Interlogix, Qolsys and 2GIG. Wireless sensors and communication technology make it very simple to upgrade, and there is no need to open walls or run wires to get the most cutting-edge solution.
What kinds of video cameras do you offer?
We offer a variety of outdoor and indoor cameras and video doorbells, many with wireless connectivity, HD quality recording and night vision and two-way audio. Our cameras all have intelligent clip capture, instant video alerts, anytime mobile access and real-time streaming.
What is the difference between a commercial plan and a residential plan?
Our commercial service packages are tailored to the needs of business owners and managers, whereas residential plans are meant for single-location home residences. Our Smart Business Security platform has powerful reporting tools that produce business trends and insights, critical system statuses and notifications to keep business owners in the know 24/7.
