Create a nighttime scene for your work schedule
One of my favorite features is actually the ability to build automated routines called ‘scenes.’ For instance, you could create a scene for your nightly work routine after the kids are asleep. You can add things like arm stay, which means arming your system while you’re at home. A few other things are setting your office to a certain temperature, have specific lights on, and set a couple alarms for a strong work focus. Then, when you’re ready to head to your office, you can just tap the ‘Night Work’ scene and your home will automatically change to the settings you’ve assigned to the routine.
Use video monitoring to keep an eye on your space
If the afternoon hits and you need to run an errand, watch your office space from your phone! Kids are curious and the best way to secure your workspace is have a camera monitoring it. Along with that, it is nice to check up on what the kids are doing when you’re running to the store quick. Another great security product we offer are window sensors. These could be useful for installing on your office windows and then you could be alerted if one of them is ever opened!
